Hi in April they issued everyone at Quatro aquas with notices saying no more camping there .As new campsite has opened ??There was only one british van the rest were all French. We were parked at Pingo Doce (supermarket ground) no problem there .We spent 3 months wild camping with no problem heard stories of people being moved on but we were ok.Lots of places to stay and all have access to water and cassette emptying. We are off back end of December for 4/5 months this time but some time in France on way home and hopefully Spain for xmas but unsure as we hav`nt spent time in Spain so far.

in answer

Sorry for the delay in answering, I have a crashed hard disk and I dont get to a internet cafe very often.

to bob and jane OK, lookforward to your call.

the wild camping in Portugal is very much as its aways been some sites go and new ones repace them, this year the French have not come in the nubers that we have seen in previous years and as a concequence ther is pleanty of room.
In Tavera the bottem of Quatro Agua is still in use but the road site by the bridge is not being used and of course the Pingo Doce site is still going.

Yesterday we were in Quatera and ther was only 2 vans on the fish dock site as the is a "no camping" sign there now but at the other end of town the "Pine trees" site has exbanded in to the next field so its a lot bigger now, also the camra have put waste bins there for our use so it seems more stable now.

happy camping Doug and Sandra

Hi good to hear that about Quateria,we were on both sites in April.Wasnt so fussy about the fish marked end but it was good parking for the weekly gypsy market. At the other end nr the restaurant we parked and went out shopping when we got back everyone had gone lol the police had moved them on .Our van sat there alone but no one bothered us as long as we didnt put chairs/wasing out.Have you been into Adam & Eve nr Monte Gordo at the bp garage,is it busy there ? it usually is..As you say places come and go its excellent for wild camping. We are leaving uk on the 16th Dec for 4 months can`t wait the weather appears to have been good this last few weeks hope it stays that way our friends are down there at Lagos .

Hi vonnie/Frank you will be reading this lol
