not long enough
Hello all, just back from great few weeks on Western Isles. A note of caution to all who might venture over

We used Uig (Skye to Tarbert (Harris) return, on our way home we arrived approx. 3 hours early in Tarbert, which is a tiny place, so headed to ferry terminal to park and planned to walk to 100m to town

The road to the ferry terminal is an odd no through section where you end up facing on coming traffic or turning into the terminal, but they have a gate across the terminal until around 90 mins before departure. But there are no signs saying either no through or that it might be closed

Options are to drive against traffic down one way road the wrong way for 200m, or a U turn, we just managed the U turn, but any longer than 8m and you would not do it, certainly anybody with a car on the back would be stuck

It is far from obvious why they use the gate, other than stopping MH's parking up early, be warned, but still go out there it is amazing
