Curiosity more than anything else....

Anyone on here over 6' tall and has a narrow bodied A class, such as the Hymer Exsis-i 524?

For a long way off in the future, I could be tempted by one of these, the narrow body being useful for the little country roads we like to go down. But I'm about 6'2" tall - is the drop-down bed over the cab wide enough for us lankier types? I presume you sleep across the van.

188cm bed size according to Hymer, which is a tiny fraction over 6'2". Is that too close for comfort, has anyone got one and can comment?

I doubt it. I'm just over 6 feet and a standard width Hymers overcab bed is just nicely long enough. If you can find the van specs bed length should be listed.

I am 6 ft 3 and have a PVC with a transverse fixed bed, I have gotten used to the slight lack of bed length.

If you can buy a 'no drop-down bed' option, I'd go for that. Much more headroom up front and you still have the rear to sleep in.

from the Hymer website for an Exsis-i 564 (rear transverse bed plus cab drop down)....

Bed size front L x B approx. cm188 x 150
Bed size rear L x W approx. cm200 x 148

so, rear bed a bit longer at around 6' 6".
front bed a tad wider but not so long....

for comparison....the Carthago C-compactline I138

Rear bed dimensions 1470/1350 x 2000 mm
Fold-down bed dimensions. 1600 x 1800 mm

Rear bed identical, fold down bed a little shorter, but even wider.....

I have just ordered one of these (currently a larger I148) and at 5'9" beds seem plenty large enough....

Curiously, the drop-down bed width in the Carthago has been increased for next year's models.
But what do you want two doubles for in such a small van?
(You don't have to answer that one, but) I'd swap the front bed for cupboards and 'spend' the weight saved on the 3l (180hp) engine.

My 2017 catalogue was obtained from Aulendorf in September.
Shame that the bigger engine is dropped.
New models have an improved 'under floor' arrangement.

I'm only 5'10 the few times I've slept in the front bed it has been OK and I sleep with my legs straight so may be OK.
More annoying is the headroom at the front with the stepped floor always hitting my head. The Dynamic Line is the same width but with the double floor throughout much more headroom under the bed.
How strange. It's in the German price list.
My German price list has the 2.3 180hp which is the same power and torque as the now obsolete 3lt.

Lenny, you're right (again)
My price list is the same!
I didn't notice the change.
