My motor home has been parked up since July and went over to start it in Feb. It started and then stoppedstraight away Tryed again but nothing I checked all the wires for feed and seemed OK(mut on new battery just incase) The fly wheel turns so I am now at the point where I took the starter off .I took it to the shop that sold it to me and asked if they would check it for me ( got in Feb,08 and only did 2000 miles if that ) he said it looks brand new but on test he said the motor was locked up. and guess what the 12 months have passed and he things the supplier won't want to know. Surely it should last longer than that. at £121.00 and a Lucas unit.What about " fit for purpuse". I have to go in on Monday to see if they can get any joy out of the supplier.
I had my MGB starter rpaired at the shop and it still going seven years later.
Is it that its a poor engine type or poor suppliers( not the shop)!
Any coments Please as I just want to get on the road again.
