Can any fun person who knows this van give me some advice about the Thetford 3 way fridge. When Parked in my drive it won't run on 12v. I read that on some vans, the fridge 12v supply only works from the alternator when the engine is running. Is this the case with the 622? Any help will be much appreciated.

Standard wiring is to run the fridge when the alternator is running through a relay. Gas or 240v when parked

Hi , its designed that way so you don't flatten the battery, as said before gas/lpg or 240volt when stationary 12 volt while driving. If your system has an A for automatic you will notice that when stop driving it take quite a few minutes to change to the gas operation, this is so that when you stop for petrol/diesel it isn't working in the petrol station, (so no big explosion) I think it take about 15 to 20 mins to change.

Thanks to everyone who responded, we had a 2001 Elddis Sunseeker 25 before the swift. I hadn't realised that though old, the Elddis in it's day was top spec. It sat on my drive, the batteries charged by solar panel and the fridge run on 12v. Thanks to Terry F for the info about filling up with diesel.
