Needed a cheap intelli maintenance type 6amp charger for an experiment cheap so it dont matter if it dont work or blows up can always upgrade later.

At great expense I chose a UK e bay supplier for this item as I always like to buy British when possible
However on close inspection I suspect it may just be a cheap Chinese copy:Eeek:
What say you experts out there?

Just about the norm these days. Items say UK stock but give long delivery time and they arrive from China, quite quickly. They do usually work.

Or you could go to Halfords and get the same thing at ten times the price, probably made in the same factory.

Talking Chinese, they must be doing something right, Bowness was full of them last weekend, piling into the expensive hotels, was even fuller in July.

Doh.................... Just seen the piddling little picture. Press full size next time you upload.

Just goes to show.. It is actually the other way round..................
That firm is in Suffolk.. They box them like that so when they export to the far east the packaging is correct..

Have you been to Peterborough ?
There are people who have been trying to get out of it since 1987 and are still driving in circles

A couple of people have told me that it is commonplace to receive goods as if they were personally consigned, then store in the UK as a buffer stock to circumvent duty and VAT.

Seems to me that you can go to Maplins/Halfords/wherever and pay a far higher price for much the same electronic goods. The quality is very variable

You pays your money, you takes your choice

Oh shit. I've ordered a torch from Ebay via a link left on here by a Funster. Ordered after a few sherbets and didn't realise it's coming from China. Will be here by the end of December. Then I realised I needed a battery and charger so I ordered one, says UK stock but it might be from.............China!! I haven't found the post yet, but I will.
