Can anyone recommend the best supermarket on leaving the tunnel, heading west on the A16 towards Boulogne and beyond. I understand there is a decent supermarket mall near Boulogne? we are heading to Le Crotoy so anywhere in between is ideal.

thanks

Steve

Hi Steve, we stop at the supermarket on the retail park Boulogne St Martin, Junction 31 on the A16. There is quite a large car park and we have overnighted there on several occasions. There is also a fuel station with a motorhome borne service point.

Brisey.

Is there a problem going to Cite Europe? Carrefore there is huge. Just follow the signs for Cite Europe as you come off the train and the MH parking is well signed.

Shiffty's post above shows where it is, special MH car park that many of us have used in the past to overnight in. :thumb:

Assuming you have a SatNav, why not go into the manufacturer's update software and download some free POI files for Carrefour, Auchan, Super-U, Intermarche and Leclerc?

Carrefour at Cite Europe is the nearest to the tunnel, but other more regional ones can be a little bit cheaper. Supermarket fuel is often as much as 20 cents a litre cheaper than Autoroute services. That's a big saving on filling an 80 litre MH tank.

When we pop over for the day we favour Leclerc at Boulogne (come off Mway at last exit before toll, turn right at roundabout at bottom of hill and its on the left)
We also use the Auchan at Calais on the way back to the Tunnel

Auchan

Hi

Also a fan of the Auchan at St Martin, Boulogne. Seems a lot more "French" than Carrefour at Calais. Often lots of good offers too.
