We'd been to Germany, along the Moselle, fine. Looked like rain in Germany so we set off to Italy to escape it - Switzerland was sunny - Got to Lake Maggorie and the rain had followed us. It never stopped. France looked ok, so Clermont-Ferrand (and a rugby final) beckoned. The rain got there before us. Oh, and -Switzerland was sunny - Sat in (the rain) Auxerre at the moment with no prospect of a walk/cycle. I give up, think we'll come back later when Europe's dried out.

Down in Spain now at a beautiful site in Isla Plana nr Cartagena - don't usually stop at camps (this will be our third in 5 weeks of being away!) but called in for the night and it's so good we're staying for a few days (ACSI 16E incl elect etc... + indoor & outdoor salt water spa pools and no kids at present) and THE SUN IS SHINNING:Cool::Cool::Cool::Cool::Cool:
after having inclement weather all the way here it's so good to feel the sun.
Think the Spainish Costas are the place to be for the sun but they don't welcome motorhomes with open arms - infact they don't really welcome motorhomes at all ......

Just finished brekkie. MH loaded and ready to roll. Steady drive to Cornwall meeting friends and staying FOC on friend's land near Newquay.
Leaving the cold Essex weather behind for the tropical Cornish climate!

I'm packing the Mo-Ho up tomorrow and heading for St Ives in convoy with my two boys each one in there own VW campers and my youngest's girlfriend's parents in their Auto-Sleeper.

Grand-sprogs in tow, wet suits packed, body boards at the ready, plenty of falling down water and banter round the camp-fire each evening; a bit of fine weather wouldn't go amiss.

Hope to see some of you motley crew out there...........Griff ......:thumb:
