Can we recommend two,(y)
1. Quantock Orchard cracking little site with great walks on the Quantocks, cracking pub up the road (Blue Ball) and a fifteen minute country lane walk to the steam train/period station that goes to all stations Minehead. http://www.quantock-orchard.co.uk/

2. Cornish Farm (Eddievanbits) excellent site with orchard, wildlife, walks and a few pubs, one in Trull - great meals there. http://www.cornishfarm.com/

Both these sites are in shooting distance from Taunton (nice town for shopping) and some great countryside - we use them both, though less than an hour's run for us, great weekend boltholes too.

Some nice 'off season' ones in Brean/Berrow too if long beach walks are your bag - they get a bit 'noisy' in summer though. Not far from Weston Super Mare if you want a walk down memory lane - some 'interesting' wildlife there too, most in tracksuits and baseball caps.

Trikeman. ;)

I have used Rookery Farm CL, between Highbridge and
Weston-Super-Mare.
Nice and quiet, level paddock with EHU.
Good location for touring Somerset, with the M5 only a couple of miles away and the resorts of Weston-Super-Mare and
Burnham-on-Sea very close by.
