Suggested Meet in West Cornwall (1 Viewer)

Oh no. Just got back from a month long trip to find out the date of this meet is at a time I am over on the continent.
So sorry as I really wanted to come along.
Is there something happening in May that I have missed?

Hi dreckly, Sorry to hear you cant make it. I tried to get a meet in May at the New Inn Mabe but unfortunately there were no takers. I have just booked to go to Corfu next friday. Its only for a week but by the time I get back there is only a week left in May.

On another note I went to see a friend of mine who is a Chef at the Little Trethvas campsite on the Lizard and spoke with the owners who would be happy for us to have a meet there later in the year. I will post some pictures later.

Hi All,
Am back in good old blighty old bones feeling the cold though. I have been to a couple of the pubs I had in mind and both Landlords are up for us to have a meet. The Pubs are:-
1. The Black Swan in Gweek.

2. The New Inn in Mabe.
The first picture is the New Inn this has a large carpark level.
The second picture is the carpark for the Black Swan. Sloping from halfway down but should be ok.
Both Landlords will provide water and somewhere to dispose of black & grey water.
There is another Pub The Halfway House Rame Cross this actually has a 5 van cl at the back. I will have a word with David the Landlord to see if he would be able to allow more. I am not sure how many he could take but will check out.

CL's are only licenced for 5 vans a rally must be held in a seperate field, sorry thats the law.

OMG--- how on earth did it get the name?

Teddybard already posted the answer to that Pauline look back down the list.
I'd love to come even if only for a day trip depends how busy my CL is.

Trewennack

Hi folks just route planning- looking on my Autoroute , the best route I see(Plymouth to Gweek) would be eventually coming off the A394 just before Trewennack and the along Gweek Lane /Chapel Hill . Would this be correct and ok for MH ?
Also on street view the Gweek inn is now I believe the Black Swan ?? would this also be correct ?



Hoping the wx will be fine and looking forwards to a few days escape ttfn

Hi jollyrodger, Stay clear of gweek lane continue down to helston then head for culdrose & the lizard. Once past culdrose take the first left off the roundabout and continue for a quarter of a mile down the dip take the second left towards gweek. I will be giving a detailed route today along with those who are attending. Hope that is ok.:thumb:

West conwall Pub Meet Update

Street View images once you get to Gweek. The Pub is on your right and then up to the car park. It used to be called the Gweek Inn when google did their maps.

am totally and utterly gutted, especially seeing those lovely photos, as because of personal circumstances am no longer able to be there..
have sent a pm to philbo to explain, but hoping to meet up with everyone at some time in the future..
have a great time everyone, will be thinking of you all having fun down there while i'm stuck up here..
