That happened in a car of mine once.

It was a collection of nursery songs when my daughter was a toddler. "The wheels on the bus" etc. It was stuck for months.

In the end I got it out with a knife

There's usually a little pin-hole near the tray. Push an opened up paperclip into it (you may need to push quite hard). That should open the tray.

Many thanks Wyn will look for hole later there isnt a tray just a slot it slides in and out of but am guessing "the hole" will do the same job?

Chris is a John Edmonds cd  but l dont want to risk a knife in there is to expensive a player to risk. Having said that months of nursery rhymes is enough to send for a knife...mine is silent so hoping it isnt broken

Our Isaac put his switch card in the opening off the CD player of his friends new car. It sucked it right in.
He got some metal stick things of the internet to get the machine out. £2.50.
Then undid the screws took the top off and got the card out with his fingers.
He asked the question on google btw, and that's what it came up with. Hope it helps.

Look for the pin hole first, it works whether there is a tray or not on a lot of CD / DVD players.

Sometimes trying to put another CD in will just give the first one a nudge and it will eject.

Otherwise give the make and model of the player and we'll try again.

So really what you are saying is the CD player is "full".

    Time to sell the van.

Haggers sells his when the ashtray is full.
