Hi, we are newcomers and we haven't actually purchased a motorhome yet, although this event is imminent!
We would like to arrange some secure storage before we purchase as we don't have any parking facilities at home.
We live in Blackpool and, bearing in mind we are ditching the car, does anyone know of any storage near to the centre of Blackpool.

Looking forward to getting to know some of you soon and can't wait until we can get away (we haven't had a holiday of any description for over 10 years).

Hi and welcome. Try doing a search for Cassoa sites in your area. If you can get a gold registered site you may get discount with your insurance but check first. When we bought our van we realised it would not fit on our drive so we used a cassoa site and were charged extra by Saga although they were the cheapest that year we are now with the Caravan Club. you will have to shop around.
Good look with your purchase and hope you enjoy your travels we have done 10,000 miles in one year since we bought the van. -Sue

I am in a similar situation to you. We run a B&B in Dorset and unable to get away except for one 3 week holiday a year. (not bad I know but then we do work EVERY other day:Sad

Have dreamt of owning a motorhome for years to be able to go off and travel the UK & Europe. Will get there soon but not until we are able to sell up and retire. We make do with hiring for our hols. Try different m/hs each time that we fancy to give a better idea of what we would like (design/layout etc) when we do eventually buy.

Many thanks for the quick replies (and welcomes). We have found a very promising storage site in Blackpool and are now on their waiting list (fifth). We found it through the CaSSOA website.
