Any suggestions for stops from French border. Last trip we stopped at sites at Salamanca ( forgotten the name :) behind a hotel ) and the Evora . Want to take it pretty easy so more stops would be welcome .

Forgot to say , leaving tomorrow !! :thumb:

I am on the campsite now in Salamanca, behind the hotel. It is Raining!
Last night stayed at a good campsite in Cacares, 125 miles south of here. Every plot has an individual toilet and shower. 16 euros with the ACSI card.

    Hello Petew

Do you have a map reference or a name of the camp site at Cacares please?

    Thanks

Have a look at the ACSI website or the book.
The town is Caceres and I think there is a good aire there as well.

The site at Caceres is on page 474 in the 2014 ACSI book. No 2410.
It is easy to find, about 4km north of town, well signed.
It has a restaurant, bar and free wi-fi. A bus into town every half hour in the week from outside the campsite.
