Well the time has come for me to collect the new Motorhome, I will be driving from Dumfries to Guildford and wondered if anyone could recommend a stopover south of Birmmingham as I plan to drive down tomorrow afternoon and stay the night somewhere before picking MH and spending the night at the dealers.

Not to bothered what or where it is could be a pub a cl or a wild spot.

I plan going down the M40 but could go M6/1

Gerry, if you need a stopover near Chesterfield we have plenty of room. We're about 2 miles off the M1.

You could have stopped on our drive Gerry but the River Trent beat you to it I'm afraid.

Vans and cars are 1/4 mile away from the flood in the village :thumb:

Motorway service area? Overnight rates vary, depending on the host company. Payment is usually by mobile phone with credit/debit card. The one on the Brum toll road just N of Birmingham is quieter than most, for obvious reasons.
