Hi, heading south tomorrow as we're at the SEC show on Thursday Was thinking about 'wild camping' around Kendal as our first stop and was wondering if anyone could recommend a nice pub/stopover for both tomorrow and Wed. nights...Thanks all...

Or if you prefer to wild it there is a nice big layby on a dead end road by the Derby Arms at Witherslack.

I've stayed in the layby, short walk to a nice pub, dead end road fields both sides, there were 4 other campers when I stayed in July, and best of all its free
