Having recently read on here about Motorhomes being stolen we never seem to hear if anyone has had theirs returned to them or any other follow up!!

You often find with motorhomes and caravans, the insurers pay up as it is alot cheaper. If the vehicle is found, it gets sold on at auction, or to known repairers.

Also worth checking on your insurance, what the deal is on pay-outs. Some will only cover 75% of the vehicles' value. This is essence, is auction value plus a bit more.

Therefore, when a vehicle is stolen, it is more financially viable for them to pay up and walk away. If the vehicle is found, they would have to pay recovery, storage, release fees, relocation and repair costs which would be alot more.

I would hope that mine along with lots of others would prefer their own van to be returned to them as they like us must have lots of important and valuable items and things like passports and the animals should horror of horrors be stolen with our little susie inside!!!:cry:
