We went to the Great Dorset steam fair last August bank holiday. Having been warned about the muddy conditions and knowing how bad our Fiat Lunar is on slippery surfaces I bought four rubber door mats at Morrisons for £1.99 each (not solid rubber but a bit like chain mail). I used cable ties to fasten 2 together to make a run of about four feet . These worked fine in the queue to get in, but after 3 days of rain we had to be towed out.
