we have allegro bay 6.5 chevy diesel we wonderd if it would run ok on bio diesel thank you

Regarding bio diesel, I believe that you must check what type of fuel pump you have because some are not compatible with bio diesel. I also believe that you will have to check what the fuel pipes are made from because rubber ones could disintegrate. Making your own bio diesel is time consuming and you are limited to a total of 2500 litres in a year before you have to pay tax; go 1 litre over and you pay tax on the whole lot!

When we bought our RV we looked into bio diesel and waste vegetable oil and found that there are so many differing views on whether or not there would be any long term problems with the engine that we decided , for the time being, to stick with normal diesel.

There are a few online forums covering this subject, so a bit of surfing might give you the answers you need.:thumb:
