Got a 2014 bessecarr 496
Step works with switch
Folds away when locking door but does not deploy when unlocking door
Last night we drove through heavy rain - could this be part of the problem?
Cheers
Robert

There should be a microswitch in the step. You need to find it and check it is functioning correctly. Ours has a Thule step and this is the main reason for them misbehaving.

Called Sargents who make the control unit which powers the step and all the other electrics in the van and they think it's a faulty control unit
They're sending one out tomorrow for me to fit myself
Hopefully a result !

Robert
