Save your plastic bottles as we have been throwing ours away. Until a friend said you have paid a deposit on them.
so back they now go up to 25 cents for pop and water bottles thats the one litre ones.

I dont relish the idea of keeping every empty bottle for the sake of a few euros. Probably cost more in diesel to find somewhere that takes them back.

every lidl and aldi in germany have a machine that gives a credit voucher to use at the tills for all the empties it accepts.

Nearly all the support the bottle scheme. I just thought how good the Germans are for recycling. Did not know they got paid for it.

The truth is that beer is so cheap in supermarkets that the "pfand" charge is irrelevant. If I lived there I might have made the effort. Being on holiday I'm simply not bothering may arse carrying empties around.
