Stellplatz for Koblenz (1 Viewer)

Looking for the one that over looks were the Rhine and mosel meet.

So were we last year! ..... missed the turn-off due to heavy traffic and looked at one the other side of the river which turned out to be just a lousy carpark so moved on to the SOG factory.

Deutsche Eck = German Corner. It's the tourist centre of Koblenz - been there lotsa times when I was coach driving.

The site pictured is just across the Moselle - I always thought it was a campsite, not a stellplatz, you live and learn! I seem to remember a small passenger ferry from there to the Altstadt (old town). Lovely spot, recommended.

It's the Knaus camper area with 10 places outside less expensive but rarely an empty place, a bit of luck required.

We have just left a site just outside koblenz which has a stellplatz attached to it. The stellplatz is €12 for 24 hours payable at a meter. It overlooks the Rhine. It's at Remagen. Boat or train into koblenz or Bonn from the bottom or top of the site.

I don't know who gave the info on maximum stay but having stayed there it is incorrect. You go and pay in the Knaus camping office and they charge you for however many nights you ask for

At Warnemunde it said no water but I sent a picture of the water service point after which they amended it

Should have been in Koblenz Wednesday but had issue with ferry will be there later in the month though then off down Mosel

There is a free one on the side of the Rhine at Vallendar (handy for Koblenz) with services. It's on campingcarinfos. BEWARE though, we got caught. Height limit entrance is 3.5 mtrs height limit at EXIT IS 3mtrs shock horror!

You need to go up and cross the railway line (after telephoning) via a special level crossing for 3mtr plus.

If you are on the bus park you can look around Canyon bikes and its interesting if you are interested! If you have a WiFi booster get the code from the cafe and it works outside.

You don't need coordinates you'll drive passed them if you just head down the Rhine. They'll be on your left.

We only went as far as Bacharach which is lovely but then decided the Rhine is too noisy and cut cross country to the Mosel

Went for a bike ride to camp site called in how much, 38 euro ouch. Does that include free bar and bbq no was the answer. Ok I will pass then.

Plenty of places as u head south on the west bank. We did not find any inexpensive places to stay until we were down as far as ingleheim
