Was wondering if anyone has stayed over here. It's between York and Leeds and has bike/car meets. Reviews are varied. I think it could be down to differences in interests.

Would love to hear from anyone who knows it.

Thanks x

Know it well but never stayed there. Its very busy with bikers over the weekend and is only a couple of miles from the A1. It used to be based in Sherburn in Elmet but is now based at a former pub about 1.5 miles back towards Leeds and the A1.

Like Canopus, I know this place too from visiting on my motorbike.
It's a few minutes from the A1 and outside the village from where the original cafe was located.

This 'newer' venue used to be a large pub within large grounds.
They've developed it to have a large car park (car & bike meets) along with converting the pub into a cafe, bar and games room.
At the rear, they have a motorbike accessory shop, fish & chip shop (open at peak period) a small campsite area and a helicopter pad! (for the owner)
Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings are busy times for bikers - expect not to get in the car park (region of 1000 bikes in decent weather) although can park in the field opposite.
They sell more mugs of tea than anything else!
Car club meets also make it a busy place.
Good to visit but Not sure whether I would want to camp there.

Living the dream.
Well last time I was there it was a shithole to be honest, heard it was up for sale so I hope the new owners had cleaned the place up a bit.

We've been a few times but don't go anymore. The camping area is on a slightly elevated level from the car park. The pub (cafe) area smells of milk and walking in there is what I imagine wearing anti gravity boots must feel like, all due to the sticky carpets from the spilt milky coffees. If you like to see bikes though it's probably worth one visit.
