Gone and done it. I've bought a newer Hymer/Merc. with Sprintshift. I pick it up on Friday and head back to Spain on Monday.

The only other non manual vehicles I've driven were armoured and that was years ago.

I have done a short test drive but I think using the Sprintshift is going to be a biggish learning curve, especially on those mountain passes in Spain etc.

So if anyone would like to help me reduce that learning curve with tips and tricks, I will be eternally grateful.

Be gentle on the accelerator when changing up on auto, and starting off, the box does not like loads of gas, thats about all.

I have a 2005 2.7 sprintshift and love it so easy to drive with loads of power on hills and motorways just no quick acceleration when starting off in 1st so keep mine in manual if need to go through the gears quickly ie when queued at roundabouts etc find it easier
