Hi all we have a lovely old 1982 Mercedes Hymer Motorhome whilst she was in storage someone broke one of the side double glazed windows (never left a note or anything). We would like to replace the window before winter sets in BUT cannot find a supplier here in Neath/Swansea Wales, or nearby. Can anyone please suggest a supplier or breakers yard in our area? PLEASE.

at 20 years old you may have problems locating just the 'glass'

maybe need to replace the full window.

Is it one of the double glazed plastic habitation windows. If so your in luck as I have recently had one made at a very reasonable price. As long as you have the original for a pattern there shouldnt be a problem.

Thank you Pappjohn, we would happily replace the whole window (doubleglazed) but cannot find a supplier in our area. We have found one that will take a mould of the existing one but she will have to stand without a window for about 2 weeks and it will cost about £400 and we are not sure if our insurer will pay that??

Just had a large one made up in Halifax for £160, I took the old one on the Monday and picked the new one up Friday same week. Damn good service.
When I say large I mean large. Full width across back of the van. A sky rocket went through it.

That is a good price Snowbird, our window is only 40cm X 87cm (side window), but double glazed. Could you please give me the details of your supplier please?

Thank you, I have been onto their website, (no one answered the phone) so I filled in an enquiry online and they will get back to me, probably not before monday.
