Hello there,

I had a slight altercation with a garage roof a little while ago and whilst being guided out also damaged the rear end of my Motor-Home through contact with a low wall!!

I know an excellent body repairer locally, but he is still waiting for a rear body panel after having my van for 3 months. I wonder if anyone can suggest my best course of action? Or does anyone have any info. on where I might be able to get a body panel for this vehicle? It has a Peugot Boxer chassis and is known as a 2005 Avante-Garde Compass.

Thanks very much for any help anyone can offer ...

Good luck...
Joyriders put a car through the side of one of our past vans..
Insurance sorted it all but repairer had to wait .........7 months... for the side panel..

As it was a hit and run with stolen vehicle we could not get a replacement van...

many many years! since I was a kid
compass are no longer in motorhome production are they? I would say that it will be easier to repair the damaged plastics than find an original replacement. a specialist repairer will source a similar part and adapt it to fit. most of the swift group had similar if not identical panels so its possible

like everything else, the converters only have to guarantee parts will be available for 5 years,

flat panels will be easier, as you can buy aluminium skins to bond over the original after filling holes

Thanks for this. I have suggested to the repairer that he might be able to get a panel made up locally, but he hasn't responded yet.
