    It is fabulous :BigGrin: Too many to list,but highlights have been the Great Bustard,seeing a Bonnellis eagle being seen off by a Barn owl,nightingales,serens,cettes warbler,calandra larks,white storks nesting on high buildings.

    We saw storks nesting when we went to Lesvos, they look so untidy don't they! - and why do they always balance them on top of the littlest chimneys they can find?

    WHERE!!!!!?:Eeek: Cos I'm dying to see one. Never seen one and my folks who live in Calpe recon they've seen the odd one round there but I've never been lucky enough on my visits.
    Once spent ALL day on the waste ground above the old Camping Sertorium cos Mum said she'd seen one there..............no joy!:cry:

    Try looking on this website of 'The Birdman of Alcossebre' very interesting Scottish gentleman residing in Alcossebre who does a count on a daily circular walk near to Playa Tropicana

    Well I know for instance that penguins don't have much wingspan to speak of and they certainly can't fly, can they? so as I was at a complete loss to know of which partic wingless birds you refer, I wondered if you two were actually the Welsh branch of MFI and there was a message in there for a mole??

    Edit - The ref to MFI is a reference to a very very old episode of Citizen Smith, where Charlie says something about MI5 and Mrs Charlie asks Didn't we have some kitchen units from then once, Char?
