Blaen Llia about three miles north of Ystradfellte not far from Brecon or Heads of Valley road in real terms but a lifetime in actual fact.

We stayed here wildcamping for a couple of nights and the forest wardens were OK with it.

I used the water on the little ford to a farm gate as my automatic dishwasher rinsing the pots out.

A beautiful free spot; we wait for my neck to heal and we will be back there.

Happy trip
Lynne

Brecon for me... New Forest is great but they don't like "off site" campers in the area (and won't let your van on site if it doesn't have windows)

Just come back to Bath from Brecon and there are simply loads of great laybys to stay on all over the place.

Both times I have watched the mighty Man City play on television in pubs in the area they have won...

PS. I know a great, motorhome friendly garage in Sennybridge...:winky:

Camping in the New forest itself is really campsite only (nearly all run by the C&CC on behalf of the Forestry Commision). There are actually lots of places where MHs stop unofficially but very likely to be moved on.
There are a lot of CLs CSs around the periphery of the National Park.

Last Year at Brecon. I wil find out what the campsite was called. Initially it felt a little borderline, then we were put on the plinth with a great view, on a huge pitch - made us stay! (Sorry about the size of the large picture!!)
