Since 2012 but longer in my dreams
Hello Roger we stayed at camping Les Sablons near Beziers ,great site right on the beach with heated pools, water slides entertainment etc.We went at the end of May last year and it was either 14 or 16 euros a night on ACSI card.
It's also a Keycamp and Eurocamp site which rents out mobile homes,in fact we have the tunnel booked on the 23rd and the kids are pleading to go back.

Is that the one at Vias, near Bezier ? We have stayed there a few years ago, not bad at all, plenty for the kids to do.

We were there when the big funfair rolled into town, absolute madness on the roads !

We'd also be grateful for knowledge of a stop-over around Dijon heading South late August.

Our fourth glorious year!
We are currently staying on the Ile de Re off La Rochelle and were just chatting about how much nicer it is than most of the places we have been in the South of France and how we would be much happier having travelled only half the distance.Lovely towns and villages that have that Med feel, great cycling, plenty of camping and aires, really beautiful.
Last time in the south we found it very very busy, overcrowded and not many places to even stop and park the van to look around.Just a thought?:thumb:

It's just off the motorway, Pass near an Intermarche on the way there. There is a nice cycle track around the village and you can catch an infrequent bus into Beaune at the other end of the village (10 min Walk). Visit the coloured roof of the almshouses in Beaune.

[FONT=&quot]REVIEW: [FONT=&quot]2013 Well signposted in town. Practical aire for visiting this famous village but not ideal for a stopover. Short level walk to the few shops in village -- boulangeries, Poste & superette plus plenty of wine "caves". Link Removed

TYPE OF AIRE: MUNICIPAL

FACILITIES: WATER /GREY DRAIN/ BLACK DRAIN / ELECTRIC / RUBBISH
LOCATION: URBAN NO. OF SPACES: 6

PRICES/ RATES: PAYMENT BY CREDIT CARD
PARKING: FREE SERVICES: 2.5€
OPENING TIMES: ALL YEAR
GPS COORDS: N47.01805 E04.83597
DIRECTIONS: Exit A6 @ Jcn 24.1 & head towards BEAUNE on N470. Proceed straight over roundabout & this is AVE. CH. DEGAULLE - AIRE is 1.5 km along this road (opposite BP Garage) on LEFT.
SITE DESCRIPTION: You should be secure here -- the Aire in this town is in a large tarmac car park behind the Police Commissariat, & parking is in marked spaces. Only 6 are reserved for Motorhomes but it is a good sized car park so finding a space shouldn't be difficult -- well lit at night. There is no shade here though & it is quite convenient for the town centre & shops, although it is next to the road. Flot Bleu service point & drainage grid.
REVIEW
2007 This Aire in Beaune was a little noisy when we stayed but the borne was very clean, only the grey drainage is free however. An interesting old fortified town with plenty of shops & places to visit -- the Hospice & wine museum are amongst the sights -- 10 min walk to town centre.
