Round the back at King Alfred Centre, along the front near the beach, will get busy during the day.:thumb:

South coast parking

Hi we have found Sandbanks carpark (Poole) great for FREE overnight parking-tiolets/showers and right next to long sandy beach. The carpark is right next to where the ferry leaves. You can go over to Studland for a few pounds with the van which saves you the long trip round to Swanage.
Don't make the same mistake we did and park along by the dunes at Studland -you will probably see lots of other motorhomers parked all along the road but there are also very small signs saying 'no overnight parking' and they come along and ticket everyone at about 5am!

You will come across alot of parking restrictions in Dorset particularly Bournemouth/Poole bourough council who aren't very motorhome friendly.

There is also a lovely layby with a seaview just before you get to Kimmeridge bay (swanage) if you go a bit further along the road you have to pay about a fiver to use the beach road but it brings you out onto the most beautiful view over the bay where you can stay all dasy but not overnight.

Lastly if you are around the Torquay area there are lots of out of town beach carparks where you can park for free and stay over night.

Have fun :thumb:
