Somport Tunnel (1 Viewer)

Hi we are travelling to Spain end Feb.
Thinking of going the Somport Tunnel way, anyone have experience this time of year, i.e. snow & conditions.


Any comments & help appreciated

Make sure that you have suitable snow chains with you. Make sure that you know how to fit them, practice at home before you leave.

It sounds as bad as I thought, maybe I'll try my usual route via Bordeaux & Biarittz

Hi, I was not suggesting that you would get snow or bad road conditions. Only that you must carry snow chains in that area and can be fined if you don't have them on board. You may not need to use them.

I have been that way once and it was ok but I prefer to go down to the French Coast and then along the Spanish Coast stopping as I fancy.
