hi all , i am heading home from denia this friday and considering taking the somport route instead of my usual zaragosa, san sebastien route . my question is which way do you folks go on the french side? i was looking at the orthez to mont de marsan road then the N124 up to the A63 for bordeaux . does anyone use this route? years ago i came down through france to use the somport and went through pau but my sat nav sas its quicker to go the orthez/m.marsan. what route would you use? thanks in advance sean

Like you we always use the Pau route, before your travels, check the snow situation up there, we never use sat navs or the like ,good old road maps for us more trusting, but other wise safe and joy able travels to you

Did Benidorm to Pau yesterday. Great route. Now in Le Mans. Tomorrow Caen. Under €20 tolls in total. Fill up in Spain, petrol much dearer in France.
