I am about ready to sell the Hymer B694.

Unfortunately things like selling a van take time. Time that could be better used on t'other side of the channel. I have decided that getting a dealer to sell it on my behalf could be the best way forward. We used this method to sell the caravan a few years ago but that place does not do motorhomes. Can anyone recommend a dealer who does this. Someone in the north would be preferable or close to the M1.

We bought our van from Camper NE at Birtley who were selling it on behalf of the owner.

Thanks for that GJH. just up the road from me so will contact them.

As I explained above I will not be about to sell it myself but I think it would be a good idea to put contact details on FUN. Thanks for that also Jollyrodger.

Have now contacted several dealers but so far non have agreed to take it on due to age/milage. Looks like I will have to spend time at home. Never mind I might be able to fit a couple more meets in.

Thanks for the help posted above

Paul Ryan from Leeds Caravan Centre gave us a good price for our van. He was really good to deal with. Might be worth a try.

There's a firm at either Hull or Beverley that specialises in this form of selling. Many peeps from Aus and New Zealand use them when returning home after the prescribed twelve month European tour. (y)

Malcolm, Have you tried Nick at Bundersvan? If he will accept the Hymer he has a reputation second to non for being fair and straight forward and would be my choice.(y)

the age of van against you with dealers I guess... you could put it on local Gumtree & Preloved for free and see what happens and on classified here obviously. OK you might get the odd time waster but can filter them out over the phone....but I have probably sold at least 15/20 odd vehicles over the years this way and its only been genuine people in my experience. it might not meet everyone's expectations but they have to able to see it. Bet if you had advertised it and price right you could have had viewings this weekend....
