I figured I'd try and contribute to more than just my introduction thread.

Looked through and saw some awesome photo's from others here, and instead of bumping all their older posts I figured I'd just post my own :)

So here are a few shots I've taken in Australia. Obviously I hope to add many more in my travels next year :thumb:

Wow! If only we had a sky like that!:thumb:

Apart from the Scottish Highlands there's too much light pollution on this overcrowded island of ours......

oh.. thanks for the quick comment, was battling to get another image up and settled on the above one :)

But yeah our skies are clear, when it's not raining hehe.

I need to get out more and play with my photography.

The moon was the largest cause of light pollution it was about a 3/4 moon that night. You should see the sky out there when there is no moon.. breathtaking.

Great pics cobber, making me feel a bit homesick. Hey you should have a look at APOD (Astronomical Picture of the Day) if you haven't already, for great pics like these. In fact you should SEND them to that website, they're so impressive.

Thanks for your kind words mate, but I a quick glance at APOD humbles me, but it's great to have inspiration to do better.

Tasmania is a beautiful state, I really enjoyed touring around there.

Greatly looking forward to Europe though

But first...much research and planning !
