If anyone interested in this I dont know how to do a link but the sellers information is ecosolar2011 on ebay and the one we opted for was the PV 80watt Solar Panel Mono Barge/shed/caravan Kit/eco £165.99, we opted for the 20amp controller instead of a 10amp they charged us an extra £10. We picked it up from there premises in Bromsgrove on the way back from the Malvern show. One comment the brackets they sell with package were galvanised steel, so we went to BQand bought alliminium angle strip. The only thing extra you need is the roof cable entry gland twin, which you can get of ebay for around £9.

Doesn't mention adhesive in the kit? Spec says 4amp max which seems low compared to other 80 watt panels normally 4.5 :Eek!:

Could be a plus being square rather than rectangular for some spaces

    This one does 4.65 amps

You said it Steve, NOISE FREE, after being Chriss Green's nieghbour at Malvern with his battery charger (GOOD IDEA CHRISS JUST NOT FOR US) we went for the silent option. We did look at the solar panels at the show but our budget would not allow those sort of prices.

    Interesting post.

I have just enquired with three dealers and the price of fitting 2 x 80W Solar panels and the solar reg, mounting feet, display, fitting etc,,,

One dealer offered me his service at £1055.

At Least Dick Turpin Wore A Mask!!!!!!

People, get real, I am not going to pay £1055 for 2 panels,,,

different panels have slightly different charge rates, but 80W is at what voltage? so many variables could mean 4 amp at 17.5v or at 12v which is different, without the full spec it it difficult to compare. don't worry about it. You will hardly ever see it charge at 4amp anyway. Only half (.5) of an amp going in today because it was a grey damp day from our 80W panel. Time to fit another panel ready for some winter usage.

Thanks Roger, we had the 20amp coontroller so we could add another panel when our pocket money allows. the extra pannel is around £135.00ish.:thumb:
