I see that 'experts' are predicting that the sun is on it's way to a solar maximum, and that this could generate large and unpredictable sat-nav errors.

Hah - pleased to announce that once again GPS manufacturers are ahead of the game - they built that into satnav anyway!

Are these the same "experts" who predicted the milleneum bug, bird flu, global warming atc. I don't think I'll lose any sleep.

They also say that the Sun is cooling down dramatically and that is why the earth is cooling off Oh sorry, its ment to be warming up.

Solar flares are genuine events. They always knock out satellites for a while and can lead to power station shutdowns
