@Terry will possibly like this:
BURSTNER Argos 850 2, IVECO
A few weeks ago we (a good friend Steve and me) trundled over the bridge to foreign parts in where the practice rugby, the scenery was good, shame about the beer.
Anyway we were looking to purchase at the right price, a little van for Steve and his family to go out and play in.

Now he is an engineer, so was/is his dad who at 70+++ won’t stop.
So the van we went to see had, its `Dometic` fridge explode causing a bit of a well …hole.
The whole side will have to come off the owner was told by dealers so was compensated by the insurance.
So we have a very good look over it, given the keys to test drive it ,and by a handshake a deal is struck.
on the way back we have a how are we going to do repair that discussion...
So we go up a week later do the necessary and drive it home (2009 and only the equivalent of 8000 miles) it drove like …well like a truck, everything worked as it should. And with lots of extras.

A temp fix and they were using it the following w/e
oh nearly forgot Another journey back over the bridge ,this time to buy a second hand ,but hardly used Dometic fridge that had ,had the fix done on it and at the same time £200 worth of parts and labour £375 Bargain?only time will tell on that one.
Bought a Brand new `Spare` van door and frame on eBay £75 delivered.
Now it’s a work in progress:

On and off for many years.
Looks like a very neat job. Does the new door cover the back of the "new" fridge and if so doesn't it need a vent? Just curiosity..... like the idea of the door as it will make access for servicing sooooooo simple.

Yep vents are on order and somewhere in the pipeline and as you say so easy a fix for servicing etc ,and yet quotes of up to £15000 had been mentioned to effect a repair ,:(

The bitter is well worth sampling as well. Had a pint in Hereford a couple of weeks ago.
