Snorkellers rescue a humpback whale....

    ... A nice little heartwarming video, as three snorkellers struggle for an hour to cut a young humpback whale free after being entangled in fishing net, and the reaction from the whale as it's released. :thumb:

    How beautiful..... what a wonderful world we live in .. let's hope we stop destroying it and thus stop make these amazing creatures extinct

    " PHEW, Cheers guys", said the whale, whose name was Eric. So Eric took all his new friends down to the pub, and then on for a sushi meal.
    What a sad ending...:cry: However, Eric's new friends still go down to the coast to visit, and sometimes he comes to see them, catching a bus to Mexico City............

    Those that have been following TV's "Whale Wars" will be aware, but those that don't will be pleased to know that the Sea Shepherd organisation have succeeded in gaining a (Japanese) government ban on whaling, which was masquerading as 'research.' They will be watching closely to ensure that the ban is maintained, and may well now be re-focussing their efforts on Iceland, Norway and other whaling nations.
