During February whilst we were in Spain a Mercedes driving Spanish woman ran into the back of us at a roundabout, nothing life threatening just circa £4K worth of damage to our Rapido and a disproportionate amount of messing around; luckily after a good gaffer taping we were able to continue our break. Question is where do I get the motorhome repaired I have had quotes from Wokingham Motorhomes, SMC in Newark and Cannock Resprays. Do any of you guys have any experience of the standard of bodywork repairs from any of these garages; I obviously want a good job doing not a mediocre one. Any help making a decision would be appreciated. Cheers

We've sent quite a few customers to Cannock for body and damp repairs, to the best of my knowledge everyone has been happy with the work done. They're also Rapido approved repairers as well as being insurance approved repairers.

Had our caravan repaired at Cannock when the son in law decided to modify the side. They replaced the whole side skin and made a good job of it.

Can highly reccomend Cannock Resprays, very professional, specialist in motorcaravans . Railway station 15 min walk if you need to get around.

Impressed with SMC. They kept me fully informed of progress on a bonnet repair even calling to tell me that they had found a small blemish on inspection after the repair and would therefore be taking the paint back and redoing it. Excellent job they made of it too.

That's the idea, although I have to chase the third party via a legal outfit in the UK and they have explained that it's a long haul 6 - 9 months if the Spanish woman drags her heals or contests my claim. Alternatively I could make a claim against my insurance and have the Rapido fixed ASAP but even though the accident was not my fault I would be penalised, loss of no claims, payment of excess and raised premiums. Nothing in life is ever easy!

I would be tempted to go to a Rapido approved repairer as the gel coat on them isn't the same as on most other MHs ... can't remember what its called but it's a 'higher gloss' finish.
