Just been watching Fith Gear and it had the top five petrol head phone aps.The one that caught my eye was the dashcam app works exactly as a standard one and in the event of a crash can notify a third party for you !
It's called Witness and at that price can't be beaten .

79p on apple but 69p on android . its just keeping the phone at the right angle on window screen and keeping it there

That's a doddle loads of windscreen cradles on ebay just bought one with a free USB charger for £4 !
Looks more or less the same as the one used in the test.
