Slovakia! Anybody Been ? (1 Viewer)

I was told today I should visit Poprad, Slovakia. Apparently, very beautiful and a nice place to visit. Certainly looks cheap compared to UK price index and supposedly favoured by Germans as a holiday resort.
Has anyone been, I would welcome your views.

Been to Bratislava!

They use the Euro unlike their neighbours.

Cheap when I was there in 2010.

You need a Vignette if you plan to use motorways, bought at the border.

Drove across the country into Poland and found the roads to be a bit rough.

Hi we went to Slovakia last year. Plenty of castles, caves and great scenery. We stayed in 7 places during our travels there. One of the best castles we have been is Bojnice, take the tour inside. Bratislava is a very pleasant city.
