I am thinking of giving my mother a Skype phone for home. Is it possible to have a cordless 'house' phone that links to the wifi router in her home so that she can contact me via Skype?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You could always use a smart phone (without a sim card) and load Skype onto that...

Whenever I am in a wi-fi zone I can Skype from my Nokia E72...

Ive had one these for about 3 years, simple to connect up and works with
any of the digital phones, requires computer to be on line to use.

once connected simply press *#* on your hand set you will then be welcomed to skype
and use your pre stored numbers to dial.

Yes it is...I have one - a Skype phone (which I am selling:winky:)

Picture attached, it charges via usb from the mains.

It is just like a mobile phone but connects to the wifi router.

Does exactly what you want.
