Who is skiing where this coming season?
Sid and I are thinking of either New Year, travelling out in between Xmas & NY. Or 1st / 2nd week in Jan.

Off to Borovets in Bulgaria in February next year. Went for the first time last year and really gutted that I have only just started skiing. Absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back!

I skied Borovets nearly 30 years ago .... I expect things have changed by now but in those days if you bought anything in the shops you got any change in Toblerone bars. I also recall buying a round of drinks for four adults and twenty kids and got change from the equivalent of £1

It is still really cheap even now to be honest. I know for the really experienced skiers that there may not be enough exciting runs but for me at the moment it is challenging enough. For me to actually get on a blue run on the last day was such an achievement as I am normally a complete scaredy cat lol!

French Alps, somewhere, Christmas and New Year, plus again in Feb half term!
Probably VT in Feb so the kids don't get lost!

Went twice this year but on the second trip Mrs Simbadog tore a ligament in her knee, her appointment with the specialist to look at the mri scan results is next week so I reckon that's stuffed this season
Unless I can find any friends who are allowed out to play on their own

We are only skiing once next year, probably Easter again. We have a family trip to Florida booked for Asugust so cant really justify two ski trips. We will take the MH down to Les Deux Alpes. This year was amazing, fab weather and awesome skiing.

Just booked Grand bornand for Feb half term. George taking his girlfriend so booked them in to a two bed chalet/love nest. We are on the all singing dancing campsite and Nikki gets a masseur and I'm too busy for that shit racing down the border cross on my blades.bring it on I say, august or it I don't give a hoot....good bye summer and hello winter

We are off to Val`disere in the French Alps just after new year . Yes it can be expensive but there are 52 of us going so have a great deal . But after skiing all day & a few Apres ski beers afterwards , we are in bed by 10pm
We have friends who go to Borovets twice a year , but we prefer the longer runs and more choice.

Hi Paul. Have you got a link to that site please? I found one but it didn't mention about the heated bathrooms on pitch. The one I found is called Camping L'Escale?

Heated Bathrooms on pitch? Phew I'd pay for that myself Sandra. the showers ar heated and thre is a heated boot room and ski storage safe and well. When there Nikki goes in to the spa and pool whilst we ski, she says she has it all to herself. It's only 400e for a apartment for the two love birds. That way we pretty much get the van to our selves with Tara and Harley of course

The site and location looks good though and they have vacancies for New Year week. They say in the website that it is 500m from ski lift, is this walkable or do you have to get the bus? Also does the bus run all day? Reason for asking is retuning to the van at lunch time to take the dog out?

Bus goes every 20 mins and is dead easy getting to lift..i was really superseded by the ease

Will you stay at venosc? Just asking as I think the aire there is forbidden in winter unless things have changed again. Anyone know?

Not sure where we're skiing get this year just started thinking about it. Jan had a really nasty fall last year and it's really dented her confidence so have to take it easy.

If anyone fancies somewhere different I have been here, each pitch has it's own large heated bathroom. It is a 5 mins from the slopes and the ski bus stops outside.
