  • Has anybody been to Camping Saanen "biem Kappeli"? We havn't used our moho to ski yet, husband is not so keen, thinks it'll be a bit cramped. But I'm keen to give it a go, mainly because of the flexibility it will give. But tbh, probably couldn't afford Saanen any other way. Would really appreciate and experience

Although we have not been to Switzerland we have used theMH to Ski in La Grand Bonnard France. As far as cramped is concerned, as soon as we said we were going skiing the older kids come out of the woodwork so instead of a two man trip it was five adults in a motorhome. We prepared evening meals prior to setting off, curry, Spag bol, shepherds pies all pre frozen ready for re heat. Then just left them in the garage when we got there and took meal out each day and let it defrost during the day whilst skiing and and having evening drinks fun. We loved using the van the site had drying rooms heated washing up area and lovely heated wash block along with indoor swimming pool and we just made sure any indoor waste water emptied straight into outside bucket and was emptied immediately.
Go use the van it works out much cheaper

Not been Swis Skiing yet always toured France wild camping and obviously no Hook up, as before have prepared meals beforehand.
Plenty warm clothing to change into, chill out in the van, just make sure no draughts around, Not cramped at all once routine is set. Hymer 534 van is small compared to some big vans seen around.
Give it a go (y)

Yes it is cramped and we have a big van and normally go with 2 young men and a large dog and i mean large....

However the fun that can be had is well worth the little bits of hassle....If you were on a site you can be a little less cramped but then you have to commit to somewhere which negates the beauty of our hobby and the freedom that comes with it
