Can anyone recommend a good spot to camp to ski at Aviemore? Non skiing husband and dog will want to have walks and enjoy the facilities if any.

Since 2009 with motorhomes several caravans then tents before that.
We stayed at the site on the roundabout as you go into Aviemore. It's Italian run with a restaurant onsite. Avoid the left hand side as you drive in. It's noisy with the traffic from the main road that goes up North , which runs up that side behind the trees. Sorry I can't remember it's name.

We stayed a night at the Glenmore campsite a few months ago after we'd been up on the mountain railway - we thought the site was pretty good, and in a superb location. Had a short stroll in the evening, and then around the loch in the morning.

No problem staying up at the ski slope. Plenty of walking but not a lot else.

That's sounds great thanks
Where do we do the loo and waste water emptying if we stay there ?
How do people do it when wild camping? Always wondered!

We do a lot of wild camping and generally go onto a campsite every 3 to 4 days to empty toilet, grey water and top up fresh.
When I was there last year, one of the vans emptied his toilet in the public toilets but I wasn't bold enough.
