Hi there, this is one of my bug-bears campsites go to all the trouble to tell you how great their site is then don,t tell you the PRICE what,s the big secret, Tell us the price and save us phoning up! I think all campsite adverts should have the prices in it.
    Rant over!:Rofl1:

Thanks for the info Jim !!
Rip off merchants ! What about single people !!
CC&C site at Oswestry £8.50 or thereabouts, and that includes wi-fi !

Some cl's these days are more expensive than "proper" sites !!

I think £12 including leccy is pretty reasonable Steve ... especially in winter when many people use leccy for space heating .. they could easily use 20 - 25 kwh per day.. .

Most sites and probably many CLs pay commercial electric rates .. about 15p per kwh ? .. not sure ... but it's more than domestic rate.,

In Spain the going rate is about 45c per kwh

When we were paying by meter on a UK CL during winter it was costing us about £5 per day + pitch fee of £10 per night.

You are welcome to stay on my drive (big) for a night. We have a good no frills pub about quarter of mile away (uphill though). I live in Crook near Durham and the electric is free.

    Not the club site, surely?

    £7.75 + £3.75 for EHU

and I've never been to a C&CC club site that doesn't charge for wi-fi

Are you referring to a CS nearby?

    Thanks Wiljoy,

that's very kind of you but Chatter has sent me a link a website with lots of sites open all year so I should be ok now.

I have just retired at 56 and bought a motorhome, the future is bright, cannot believe how lucky I am!

Well that seems a great price but i cant find an Oswestry in the north of England so even though it might be cheaper for single person i wouldn't like the bus fare to the north. Haven't stayed there before but according to the cc&c the wifi is provided by a outside service (different provider)

I have staed at the site i mentioned and thought it was well worth it

Just incase the op is interested i know a cheap site no where near where you want to go if thats any help:Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:
