Holgates near Carnforth fits the bill.

You really are in tune with FUN humour !

Southport Pleasureland might fit the bill. It's just a car park, cheap. But surrounded by *everything*. Pool just across the road. Morrisons across the road. Then Cinema/Bowling/foods all a short walk.

Will you let me know what you think. We've toyed with the idea of going but when I look at the price we end up ringing Barbara at Southport.

Will do Tom A, it's the bad weather forecast that's put us off Southport Hilldweller it's one of our favourite local places.

We have stayed at a site called Stacksteads just off the A65 at Ingleton so just up the road from you. It is a Caravan Club CL but it is open all year, Hard Standing, EHU. Nice showers £13 per night but what attracted us is that they have a new Leisure centre with heated pool, sauna, jacuzzi, & Gym. I think they charge £5 per person for as long as you want. Ingleton village is about 1/2 mile walk away for pubs, restaurants etc.
