If you do stop there ask them about the 20 min walk down by the river to a village called scorton ,where you can eat and drink also there is a little pub on site that has good food available (y)

Another option is Bridge House Marina, Garstang. Easy walking into Garstang along the canal. Also there us a pub just 3 min walk from the site.

Both a bit pricey in my opinion. Turnover Hall Farm at St Michaels is ok for an overnighter.
I stayed there once and my mate has'nt spoken to me since.

If you wish to be closer to Morecambe you could consider one of the Holgates sites. Bay View is only about 3 miles from Morecambe but they are expensive. If you are a member of the CC then you could consider one of the CL's in the area. There is a lovely one just about 200 yards from Morecambe Bay at Bolton-le-Sands, I think it is called Freshfields.

If it's just a stopover, there's two campsites at Crooklands right next to Jct 36 of the M6. We've stayed at Waters Edge which has a small bar, Little Acres is across the road and a bit more basic. 5 minute walk from both to the Crooklands Hotel for decent food and cask ales.
