They make winter tyres for scramblers,they have spikes sticking out of them so that you can grip on the ice ,,other than that,dont know , i did ride a bike all year round winter can be quite brutal

Never heard of them but its years since I was into bike big time.

The tyre of choice in my day were the Dunlop TT100's or Yokohama's

Been motorhoming for 15yrs.had an American RV for 7yrs,Now got a Niesmann Bischoff Arto 88F
some thing that is not asked for very often ,in fact i do not remember ever selling one .but in answer to your question ,yes they are made in limited sizes by Michelin ,metzeler and Continental and also there is a couple of budget brands but i would imagine that at this time of the year stocks are very limited.

My mate used to run racing 'wets' in the winter. Good grip and warm up quickly. But overheat at speed in the dry.

Living the dream.
It's winter here but don't need special tyres when it's 21c :)

Sort of but it really depends on the bike Continental have a very good reputation especially the TKC80 here;

Used them every winter on my GS and also when doing long off road hauls like Alaska and the Pamir.
Would't swear by it but I think they are the only off road/winter tyre rated at 100mph as most knobbly type tyres are terrifying at speed but having used these for years I can swear to their stability at 100 mph plus.(y)(y)

Perhaps not winter tyres as such but there has been a trend of late for tyres with a greater number of sipes that, effectively, generate heat at lower temperatures.
Michelin Pilot Road 4's are an example.
