A few months ago noticed the floor of the bathroom was a bit wet ( water if you must know). Traced the leak to a cracked connection on the underside of the shower mixer where the two hoses enter the assembly, could have been frost but I don't think so as we heat the van in the winter when on the drive and this was May when we found it.

Couldn't get the mixer assembly off but it didn't matter as I couldn't locate a spare and the ones I saw were all around £60 - £90.

Managed to dry out all the components and degrease the 'o' rings. Applied a health dose of expoy around the hose entries and re-assembled them. Left to cure for 48 hours and then tested it. No leak.

What I'd like to know is, how do the manufacturers get the mixers on, do they assemble the whole lot on the bench before fitting the GRP panel? The access panel is so small and the enclosure so tight it's difficult to even see the assembly never mind get a spanner or key on it.

Never mind, the leak has gone for the time being, hopefully for ever.

Rgds
