wife says she does not want sheepskin covers as the bits will come off on her black trousers. Is she right? If not where is the best place to buy.

We had them for 10 years. Never noticed anything on the clothes but after a while they started to loose chunks of wool where they had been rubbed a lot. Still 6 years of full timing takes its toll on everything in a motorhome. They saved the seats from a lot of wear.

Agree with others real quality skins do not shed, unlike the man made ones. I agree that Skyeskins are great just check the sizes as they measure them from end of wool not the actual skin. There are other companies out there as my first one came from somewhere down south and is larger than the Skye one I have.

You can wash them on a cool wash with non bio powder. They then need brushing with a sheepskin brush to fluff back up

Thank you but guess not too convenient if they need a wash over a long winter trip . Going back to Scotland in June so hence my query as thought of buying them when over

This reminds me of the micky-taking phrase attributed to Black Country folk. An advert for "chape shapeskin satecovers" (cheap sheepskin seatcovers) you really need the propper accent to appreciate it.

I'm not a veggie or an animal rights type but whenever I see a sheepskin I can't help feeling sorry for the original owner. I don't have any feelings about eating lamb or leather goods. But sheepskins look too much like well,.... sheep skin!

I went onto their website and couldn't see seat covers. Do you buy a piece and just place it on the seat?

You just buy a sheep skin piece and place it over the seats. Lots of us have them from Skye skins and really pleased.
So do you cover the whole seat or just the base? And how does it stay put of the back is covered?

I seem to recall these were very trendy in the 70s. Not sure I'd want one now, aren't they a bit hot.
